🌸 Oops - just to clarify something

Hi friend,

A few people have asked whether I’ll be running The Natural Dye Rainbow again, because they don’t have the time to start right now.

The course itself isn’t going anywhere — once you’re enrolled, it’s yours for life.

All of the lessons are fully pre-recorded, so you can watch them whenever you’re ready, with no schedule to keep up with.

What is ending is the 40% discount.

If you’d like to join at the reduced price, you’ll need to enrol by Monday, using the coupon code FOREST40.

After Monday, the course will still be available, but at full price.

Once you’re inside, you’ll have lifetime access, so you can dip in at your own pace and return to the lessons anytime in the future.

You’ll also be invited to my student-only Facebook group for extra support with your projects if you need it.

.

Here are a few other questions I’ve been asked:

🌈 I don’t have madder, weld or indigo growing near me — can I still do the course?
Yes, absolutely. These are the most commonly used natural dyes and are easy to buy from natural dye supply shops all over the world.

🌈 Can I grow the plants myself?
Yes. The only thing to bear in mind is timing. Madder needs around three years before the roots are ready to harvest, and weld is a biennial, so it won’t flower until its second year. Because of that, I usually suggest buying the dyes to begin with so you can start experimenting straight away. You can then grow the plants and use your homegrown dyes in the future once they’re ready. There are lessons in the course on how to grow them.

🌈 Is this course suitable for beginners?
Yes — it’s perfect for complete beginners, as well as anyone with some natural dye experience who’d like to explore historical dyes more deeply.

🌈 What kinds of fibres can I dye?
The recipes in this course are for plant fibres such as cotton, linen, hemp, bamboo and viscose. It’s ideal for dyeing clothes, quilting fabrics, cushions and other household textiles.

🌈 Are there subtitles on the videos?
Yes — subtitles are available in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian.

🌈 How do I access the content?
After placing your order, you’ll create an account and choose a password. You can then log in on any device to watch the videos and read the lesson notes whenever you like.

🌈 If I struggle with anything, will you be able to help me?
Yes, of course. Once you’re enrolled, you’ll have access to my private Facebook group where you can post questions and I’ll help you.

I hope that helps. If you have any other questions at all, just hit reply — I’m always happy to help.

And just a gentle reminder that the FOREST40 coupon code expires on Monday, if you’d like to join with 40% off.

P.S. Inside the course, I show you how to work with three traditional dyes — madder, weld and indigo — and how layering and overdyeing them opens up a whole rainbow of colour. Once you understand how they interact, you can start to build your own palette with confidence, rather than guessing or hoping for the best.

And then there’s the secret ingredient: rust, which you can use to instantly create a second, darker set of colours ✨

My dear natural dyeing friend, I know I’ve been in your inbox a bit more than usual this week — thank you for bearing with me. Launching The Natural Dye Rainbow has been a big moment around here, and I wanted to make sure you had all the info you need to decide whether it’s right for you. One important thing to know is this: once you join, the course is yours for life. You’ll have lifetime access to all of the videos and lessons, and because everything is fully pre-recorded, you can start...

Hi friend, Before anything else, just a quick note to say that today is the final day to join The Natural Dye Rainbow with 40% off. You can use the code FOREST40 to get 40% off before midnight (GMT) tonight. Now, a little behind-the-scenes moment… I did something a bit scary (for me) last week. I’d been dreaming up the idea for this course for a few years, and I finally brought it to life over the past few weeks. Then I opened the doors last Monday and gently invited people in — half...

Hi friend, On Monday I opened the doors to my new course called The Natural Dye Rainbow (you can still get 40% off using the code FOREST40 - it ends on Monday). It got me thinking about the history of where dyes come from — something that’s been turning over in my mind while recording the videos. For most of history, all colour came from natural sources. Every pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple on cloth was made from plants, minerals, or insects gathered from the world around...
